EAGLEGRAM FROM JUDY AND MURRAY CRAWFORD

Judy and I recently assumed the role of Young Eagles’ Ambassador for Australasia and for us that was a new venture. Our role will not be so much that of Presidents but more as mentors to assist members better to understand the Young Eagles programme and how to best benefit from it.

young-eagles-textWe have spent time listening to people’s ideas and perceptions as to what the Young Eagles programme is and should be. Young Eagles is first and foremost a personal development opportunity based on a structure and process that, if followed and achieved, will result in you building a substantial and financially rewarding business. You progress at your own speed.

There is no compulsion to be part of Young Eagles but it is open to everyone as are all Young Eagles functions including the breakfast at Royalty. Whilst Young Eagles is a “stand alone” organisation, it could not survive without the support and guidance of New Image. Their role has always been to provide mentoring and to help us understand the “bigger picture”. They are like a paternal Grandfather, always there when you need them but happy to let you grow and develop as your own person andin your own time. However, it doesn’t mean that occasionally they won’t give you a nudge to try and do better.

We have taken some time to review the Young Eagles Leadership criteria and a number of changes have been made. These will be published in our own section of the New Image website but the major changes are shown below;

Provisional Young Eagle - the criteria is that the qualification has been set at Supervisor level. We should be having as many “Provisional’s” as possible. These certificates can be awarded at any Company function but only by the Chairman, Business Development Manager, YE Co-Founder, YE Presidents or Ambassadors.

Winged Young Eagle - Must be a Manager and achieved Royalty status on three occasions. All other criteria are the same. This will also be the highest level of “honorary status” that can be awarded.

Grand Eagle - Must be a winged Eagle. Must have achieved three Gold Royalty sashes. Must have been King or Queen of Royalty on three occasions. All other criteria remain the same. Grand Eagle is a Representative qualification.

The Young Eagles committee is comprised of all the Regional Co-Ordinators and the Co-Founder. The next Young Eagles Presidents will come from this group and their tenure will be for two years. On our travels around we will be talking with areas and encouraging them to run Young Eagles functions as a means of developing people’s skills in their area.

These days we are such a diverse group of ethnic cultures that the opportunity to learn and appreciate our diversities has never been greater. An appreciation and understanding of others could well be the key to you having a successful overseas business.

In closing we would like to pay tribute to the sterling efforts of Donna and Bernie Rush in their term as Presidents. Their newsletters were simply amazing. We wish everyone the compliments of the season. Have a safe and happy Christmas & New Year. Recharge those batteries as 2011 will be the year of the “speed skater”

Cheers, Judy & Murray Crawford
